Imagine buying 10,000 completely unfinished forgings stamped with serial numbers at 15 dollars each....and dump them all in the registration system. All a sudden that creates 3 millions dollars worth of AR if they decide to come after your guns. Do it for a few years, it really jacks up the statistics.
