Stripped lower legalities?

In canada, last time I heard it is the "intention" that matters. If it is intended to be a firearm, it has to be registered.

Imagine buying 10,000 completely unfinished forgings stamped with serial numbers at 15 dollars each....and dump them all in the registration system. All a sudden that creates 3 millions dollars worth of AR if they decide to come after your guns. Do it for a few years, it really jacks up the statistics.

We should do this for CSSA to raise fund.

Pretty evil.

When dealing with the CFC, it seems if you make three phone calls you get three different answers.
I "intend" to build a single shot 50BMG rifle. I contacted them, in order to pre-register it. They told me they cannot register something that doesnt yet exist, as it has to be verified. So....., I build a bare reciever, get it verified, send photos to CFC, then start assembling the rest of the gun. Then, get it re-registered as a complete gun.
Of course, with an amnestry until next May 17......
(applies only to NON-restricted)

BTW, they keep sending me letters asking the status of it. i have not yet started cutting parts, so the file is still open.

Thread hijack then I'll go back to my seat.

This pic at the start of the thread - I like. The O.D receiver doesn't show in the prices list on Stag arms site - is this a custom anodize?

:)

I painted them myself... Armacoat OD Green (I used laquer thinner to prep the receivers then applied paint directly overtop the black anodizing - Very durable finish).
