Update: March 07/11
My recent trip to the range with my trusty Sub-2000 involved mounting an inexpensive 4x Leapers scope and a few new loads to test for accuracy.
I altered a somewhat +P load I tried before and played with the amount of powder by going down .1 grains at a time (7-7.3gr) and found a good accuracy node. The groupings were repeatable.
The final (best) load I ended up with is: 115gr FMJ/7.3gr HS-6/WSP/1.120" COL
This has the projectile flying at an average velocity of 1480FPS (at -5º, clear day).
Here's a pic with the setup and a target.
On this target if you exclude the two shots outside the main group, it measures just over 3/4" (full mag, 10-shots). I'm pretty happy with that shooting off just a bag.
I still need to find some 90gr Hornady XTP's to reload with, I'm thinking they'll shoot really flat and quick. I'll update as I go.
On another note; with all the JR carbines now getting into the hands of fellow CGN'ers, I hope others try their hand at some load development and share it. We now have lots of 9mm carbine's floating around and the load data would definitely be beneficial to us all!
