Suggestions Tikka Tac 3 (308)

I have it in .223, love it, bloody accurate. More accurate than I am that's for sure. If you reload be careful of OAL with the mags, otherwise an awesome rifle. Hopefully someone with a 308 can chime in.

Great rifle, very accurate. Nice trigger for a factory one. Use it with and without a brake (AAC). I've redone mine in a McMillan A5 with AICS style DBM and a 20 MOA EGW rail, but it shot close to the same in the factory stock. It is consistently one of my best shooting rifles. No regrets.
Its the closest one in the picture.

I have one. Nice gun. Smooth action, crisp trigger.

Possibly a little over-priced but it's very accurate and the quality is there.

Some people don't like the plastic/polymer parts, some people aren't bothered. Biggest complaint I hear is the stock. A few companies make replacements so you have the option to swap it out if you don't like it.

Magazines (polymer/plastic) are pricey at around $85 per, although it's not the most expensive magazine out there.

Muzzle comes threaded so you can attach whichever muzzle widget suits you, I made a custom brake for mine, makes a huge difference in felt recoil.

I would buy a Tikka over a Rem 700 any day, but some people like Chevy and some like Ford.

I have one in .223 and am a big fan thus far. I have another Tikka in .223 that is customized with a very heavy barrel and aftermarket stock that makes it useless for anything other than LR shooting so I bought the T3 Tac when I saw one for a good price. It's going to be my varmint / bush gun; it's light, has a very durable plastic stock that fits me well, and so far it's been very accurate. I'm hoping to take it to the range tomorrow to try some hand loads.

The T3 actions and triggers are exceptional for factory offerings.
