Sulun Arms SS-211 at Tactical Imports!

It's interesting to note that the "Factory Defect" ones have a nice Fiberoptic sight, as well as much thicker, heaver barrels.
The lack in their recoil pad makes the overall length shorter too. The shortest one I have is 22 3/4".

Thats awesome about the sight and barrels. I was going to be swapping mine for a f/o sight from the brass bead if that was what it came with anyways. Jeez 5 of them no wonder they sold out so fast. Glad I was able to snag one at least, can't wait till this Thurs when its supposed to show up (I'm out in b.c.)!

Steel Reciever/Ejector Model

Does anyone else's trigger occasionally go dead and take a couple presses to get it to fire? Might have to call or email TI and see if I can get them to sort it out or replace. Other that this issue first impressions are great...

A ejector model with smoother and light hinge mech would be amazing.

Yes mine arrived yesterday. I have the trigger issue you have / VERY stiff break action / non serviceable safety. This was only a quick look tho as I will pull it apart later today and cycle a few snap through. Funky shotty tho.

Can't say any of the two I have here do that... How often is occasionally? Once every ten shots? Every 5? When dry-firing/snap caps or live?

I think the mech will smooth out given how the Desperado wore in for me...

Yes bulk of shipment will be 9.8", but we asked for them do do a few 12"

What kind of timeframe are you guys looking at for the next shipment? Trying to figure out how long I can wait before I start spamming the refresh button to make sure I get a 12" (I'm in BC)

Hey TI, what about a smaller gauge? 20 28 or 410?

20g would be perfect for these. Little grouse gun & potential for slugs for deer. I'd have a heck of a time deciding between 12g or 20g (and likely end up with both)

Haven't live fired mine yet, but, the triggers seem to work every time when test firing with snap caps. Break isn't that bad either. It'll probably loosen up fine once I start using it more. Pleased with the purchase so far.

I took it apart as per manual and fit is VERY TIGHT. I have had Russian shotguns better fitted.I have to put it over my knee like I am breaking kindling to get ejectors to function. [ FAIL! ] The trigger issue seems to have sorted out with some MOOVIT LUBE . The safety is still seized on the OFF POSITION. Will not cycle. Also the little switch for top/bottom barrell switch NON-OPERATIONAL.VERY DANGEROUS WITH NO SAFETY OPERATIONAL!!!.A nice concept but NOT impressed. I have spent over five grand in as many months at TI AND THIS IS VERY DISAPPOINTING! I will contact to send back for sorting out. [ YAY MORE SHIPPING COSTS! ] MEH!

I understand that he barrel switch only operates with safety on so if it's off it's not meant to switch, at least on these guns. The Desperado was the same way.

But it looks like you got a lemon, esp with the amount of force required to open. :( I'm sure TI will take care of it, but these were sold as defective guns, some of us got better than expected, a few worse, it looks like.

I can handle some better then others, as they where prototypes. The safety not working is a major issue, as is the trigger not firing all the time. Prototypes still need to be able to function correctly, even if they are rough around the edges. For what it is, I was impressed with mine, even the brake action isn't too horrible. It's stiff, but not like I can't open it without going over my knee

I emailed TI about mine as well, same safety issue (seized and won't work) my gunsmith is convinced he can slick it up and have it prefect in a couple of hours.

TI has always been good to me, and I will continue to shop with them. Just waiting to hear back what they reccamend I do. I am assuming the safety was installed too tightly, and it's causing the mechanicals to bind

Mine arrived yesterday and very pleased with the extractor model. That last bit needs some force to set the trigger when opening.

What I do like is that the safety doesn’t reset every time the action is opened, one less thing to worry about on the trap line.

I am sure TI will sort me out. I did not want to force the safety and break something.I am about 1hr from a gun shop. More$$$$$ to travel and fix.I have no luck.Be careful on the trap line.I do like the gun tho.

For those that have had these (the non prototype/factory seconds) and other turkish shotguns (ie either Canucks, or the fold in half single-shot backpackers), are they closer in quality to the former or the latter?

So I received my two factory defects with the steel receiver and ejectors. I have one of the first run with aluminum receiver as well.

Thoughts compared to aluminum receiver first run(on both steel/ejector models): Lock up is tough and sticky. Really have to slam it closed or it will not lock up, trigger is gritty(first run trigger is great) and
I have had no problems with dead trigger as mentioned before, wood is fine, barrel is thicker, I really like the FO sight, much heavier, Solder block between barrels is run from receiver to barrels end (aluminum model does not have that).

Picture makes one look shorter than the other that is not the case.

Biggest gripe is the fact that the receiver and sight DO NOT line up. Its the same on my aluminum model but not nearly as prominent.

Anyone else have this? is it normal for O/Us?
