And then went on the be made prohibited.Years ago a company made what they called an "MP-5" but in 22LR. It shared no parts with the centerfire MP-5, but because they advertised it as an "MP-5" except in 22LR, it was deemed a variant and made prohibited. Eventually GSG came out with the exact same gun except they didn't advertise it as an MP-5 and it was made non-restricted.
Look up the blaze-47 and come back to us with your guess.
Guess you were wrong, https://www.tacticalimports.ca/nonrestricted-firearms-c-1/sg12-spas-p-888.htmlYou have a lot to learn about Canada's legal framework with regards to firearms. The RCMP will arbitrarily classify it as prohibited strictly on a named variant & cosmetic basis and they have done so many times in the past.
The RCMP has the ability to make up it's own gun laws and interpretations and the Canadian kangaroo courts find every way to legitimize it.
Your logic doesn't matter and countless lawyers have tried to argue otherwise. The Canadian government doesn't have a legal definition as to what a "variant" is, and they kept it ambiguous on purpose so they can ban everything.
I guess they didn't! Glad I held on to hope"The Sulun SPAS 12 is a faithful homage to one of the most iconic shotguns in history, the legendary Franchi SPAS-12. Designed and manufactured by Sulun Arms, this shotgun delivers the unmistakable aesthetic and presence of the original, while updating it for today’s shooters."
In other words, it is a newly made SPAS-12 clone, regardless of whether or not it shares any parts interchangeability.
The RCMP would consider it a variant of the existing named prohibited SPAS-12.
