I am new to small game hunting and would like to go for some coyote this summer. All I have experience with is deer so I thought I would get some information from this site.
It seems that most people do this in the fall or winter, is that simply to get better pelts from them? Or is there some other reason I should know about? I have been told that coyote are considered a "nuisance animal" and therefore if hunted the hunter is not required to prepare the meat or do anything productive with the pelt. Is this correct? Finally, I don't want to put out all the money for a FoxPro right now, does anyone have any reccomendations on a more economical call system or hunting method? I really want to be successful so any other tips would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
