GR, thanks for the pics. Was a great first day. Lots more shooters were able to make it for some extreme range shooting.

LRC and another BMG shooter had some fun around 2400yds. Of course, they shot where I didn't range before. Will get a distance reading in the future.

Alot of nice guns and lots of smile. Was nice to see everyone reaching out beyond their furthest distances.

1080yds not that far anymore is it????? 1800+ yds well within reach. 2000+yds need more scope elevation or shimmed rings.

Weather cooperated with decent winds. Overall, a great day.

Let's hope for more good weather. I am sure there will be lots more pics and reports posted shortly.

Got most of the the guns....except mine! Great day...a little sunburn around. Best time for me...hitting a rock at 800 yds with open sight VZ58L....ok it was a big rock....ok really big. The guy next to me shot even better with his Norinco 7.62x51. Sorry I didn't get a name or photo...maybe he could chime in later.

Approx 40 people

Dam, I knew Summerland sounded familiar...I was there once when I was doing a helicopter mountain flying crse in Penticton.

If only I had known...

Cool pics guys, thanks.

Love the brake disc front rest! :D

General Ripper; thanx for the pictures. You guys had quite the firing ling there compared to last year.

For those who attended, could you guys do a write up and your rifles? Some real interesting rifles out there. Caliber. What kind of barrel and twist. How it shot at what range.

Please.

I see Jerry had the range lines marked on the ground. Good idea.

Jerry... We had a great time. Thanks for your efforts, Dinner was great and shooting a mile was fabulous. A Dream Come True. A great way to meet and greet new and old friends. Looking forward to it next year.

Today was another good day...a few less people and many shifted to the 500-800 hill. Winds came up a little earlier but still workable. I developed the plague last night so had to leave at lunch. Only got one pict of me and my tactical, long range, semi, SL-8. With 1:7 twist I was shooting 75 grain Hornady A-Max out to 1,000 yds. I was all over the "Gopher" but winds gave me grief. Still very satisfying. Bought a new scope from Mysticplayer...Bushnell 4200 Elite Tactical...fits the gun well so no more excuses.

Another fantastic weekend at an end. Lots of amazing rifles and superb shooting. Not sure what the rd count but would guess 4000ish rds with most being big boomers. Some highlights for me:

Getting on video hits on a smallish rock (target face approx 12" X 12") at 1 mile, then getting two other shooters on that same rock. They even had a better hit/miss ratio then me. Figures....

Shooting a 50BMG and 408 Chey Tac built around some awesome RPA (correct me if wrong) actions with some CANADIAN (local too) made bullets. Great work to the guys at Accurate Bullet Corp. You guys are making some very good slugs. Looking forward to hearing more about all your other ventures. Canada may be self sufficient in reloading components in big boomers in the not too distance future.

A 'tacky' rifle shoot like a BR rifle with some awesome driving. Congrats to Blackcloud and a superb Nesika/Rock/S&B rifle. With light gusty winds, he went 20 clays in a row at 780ish yds. It's always the 21st Zombie that gets you. Thanks for the test drive. The BCRA guys should be getting nervous...

A gong at 800yds get absolutely cold cocked by a 300gr MK out of a 338LMAI. Caught the trace all the way out to KA-SPLAT. Guessing 20lbs of steel thrown around like a rag doll. Launched off its tether. Scary part this 500brinell steel gong didn't have a scratch on it. Not even a ding!

Seeing this gong get hammered by many bullets ranging from 223 to BMG yet not have a scratch. Not even dished. Amazing steel.

The sound AND concussion of a bunch of BMG's going off right next to you while you are trying to make an extreme range shot on video or spot for another shooter. That's attention getting. That is ALOT of horsepower even at...

Watching BMGs reach out to at least 2400yds (will try and get an exact distance soon) and be able to see the dust impacts with the naked eye.

Finding out that a 175gr MK can go beyond 1400yds....well beyond to 1800yds with decent accuracy. Must be all in the twist or ???????

To see a PGW Timberwolf shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot. Hit a bunch of things too.

A VZ dropping bullets with battlefield accuracy at 800yds then seeing it done offhand. Those graduations on that sight actually were right on.

A whole bunch of serious impacts on granite rocks near and far - some now not so big.

Ken and Barbie being taken out at 780ish yds with multiple strikes.

Level 2 body armour not doing much of anything against a 175grMK at 800yds. Not even when duct taped.

Getting real close maybe even hitting a paint can lying sideways at 800yds. That's a small profile.

Lots of hits on the Gopher which is continuing to shrink in size. The real Marmot didn't come out all weekend. Wonder why?

I will have to check but even a directed hit on a survey stake at 1550yds. That would be 1.5" wide. Very steady shooting. Great wind doping too. His better half smacking them rocks way out there.

A full size Dodge Ram truck riding low in the back.

The next generation of shooters rocking and rolling to the BMG's (hopefully video posted later). Dads that is your retirement going up in smoke. Money well spent.

Meeting more shooters that want to have fun, burn lots of powder and reach way out there.

Saying hi again to shooters from past shoots and watching them reach further and further out. Next year, extreme range will be a full day!

For the generous donation of clays from the Ft/Mac club.

Thanks to Frozen Snake, Troutseeker, and Lionhill for helping with the range duties and listening for that radio. Must be a radio wave black hole. To everyone for taking a turn watching the road and for those who took a second shift. For those that stayed behind to help me clean up.

We had it all - Black powder, open sight palma, Lee Enfields, Mausers, M305's, VZ's, HK's, Rem, Savages/Stevens, Tactical Customs, and a bunch of KaBoomers.

The weather was superb and most have sun burns to show for it (it is blowing 25MPH and the rains have come). A few with hang overs too.

The sasquatch didn't make an appearance but we know he was close. Hopefully, those that went in search for him and the Gopher, got a ride home.

Keep enjoying the shooting and the rest of the year. Looking forward to more pics and videos as they get edited/posted.

This was the largest year ever and one of the best....

All being well, we will see you next year.
Jerry
