Over the Easter Weekend, I found out that there will be fair amount of local traffic in the shooting area this weekend. Been trying find a way to both play up there but there is no simple solution.

Due to expected traffic in and around our area all weekend, I have to call the shoot off. There is little point in running a serious risk of liability/conflict.

I am truly sorry for this and will return the $20 sent ASAP. I will also be sending everyone a PM so that they can get me mailing info.

I hope that we can find a way to 'secure' the area for future events or even a new location as this type of headache, we don't need.

I really appreciate all the interest and support I have received for this event. All those who have made gongs and helped me in other ways, I truly appreciate it and a great big THANKS.

If there is a way to get something dialed in for later in the year, I will definitely get something organized. However, for this weekend, not going to happen.

I am just getting into the long distance shooting. Would this trip be for me also or would iI be the only new guy? I currently own the DSR-1 in .338L and the HS 50. I am not a mill dot master but you have to start somewhere!

Jerry, I'm in- money order will be in the mail tomorrow. Whoo Hoo, can't wait! :D I'm going to try to get out there on the friday if you need any help setting up.

Masic, I was a newb last year and I had a great time with only target peep sights! I'm sure you'll have fun and will learn a lot. Definately worth the time and effort, and besides, I'll need a spotter- and so will you?

Gee Jerry, Ya done it again! F-Class season kicks off on the 18th in Mission!

Was the only weekend that works for family and other events.

Sucks but what can you do.... You are most certainly invited.

Newbies are most certainly invited. Believe me, very few shooters have ever shot as far as we will on the weekend. It's all about having fun and learning what it is really like to shoot a long ways away.

Masic, hope to see you there.

Jerry

My first time out was for the Second annual shoot.

A Savage 308 and factory ammo. I had no idea where to start. Mentioned this to Jerry. Asks what I am shooting. Tells me to start around 65 MOA. Was with spitting distance of target inside 4 shots. I can't spit very far.........

One of the best experiences of all time. Hitting milk sized jug at 1,000 yards. With a nothing special set up.

Hey Jerry,

You can count on 2 or 3 rowdy Alberta country boys down there for the weekend. PM sent and I'll confirm as soon as I can contact a few others. I promise we'll behave........during the day!

Hey Jerry....I'll have $ 60.00 in the mail tomorrow to cover me and two assistants / spotters / gun bearers that I'm determined to get addicted to this game.......Looking forward to April...Big time !!

Will be there too. May need a lift through the rougher stuff. Will try to travel light.

EDIT - can share some gear too - have tripod, spotting scope, two FRS, 1 VHF
