Super extensive lube test

Care to elaborate?

That's a pretty vague general statement. Subjective or fact? Everything listed in the reviews I read such as slick and just wipe off the carbon is the same as G96. Any military/police testing? Would love to hear about it.

G96 burns off way before Fireclean -- I think G96 is a good lube - however if running a gun suppressor for high firing schedules, FC kicks G96's ass.

I ran slightly north of 2,500 rounds of M855 in four days thru a suppressed 11.5" gun at a US Army class a few weeks ago, I think had to turn and burn to do a demo in NJ - and all I did was take some FC on a weapon brush and a cloth and the gun stripped fully clean in around 5 min.

If I had access to a bunch of G96, I would not feel screwed - but I think its a better handgun lube than a AR lube - and for me its easier to run FC on everything from handguns, shotguns, AR's, Sniper rifles, and belt feds.

I've used CLP, Frog Lube, and all kinds of no-name random lubes and never experienced a problem due to lube in 26 years of shooting AR's.

Much ado about nothing.

So far, Slip 2000 (and EWL) have proved my fav's. Non toxic and make cleaning a simple affair. I shoot a suppressed NEA 12.5 and used Slip on a suppressed Mini-14 with great results. Kroil has to be the most toxic smelling solution next to Militec! Mind you, the early runs of Tetra Gun smelled like donkey balls. Too bad that product was not tested, I have found it to be a great lube, but toxic so it is out for me. As far as corrosion control for exterior of guns and my motorcycle ( and all other external surfaces of tools) the best product is Prolan. A NZ lanolin product that is sprayed or brushed on. I tested this in the highly saline environment of the south island west coast and it beat everything. Would not use as a lube for my NEA, too tacky, but sheep juice is tough to beat.

For anyone wondering about grease...I really liked slip 2000 EWG ( G for grease ) but switched to super lube synthetic, it's cheap (home depot online, free shipping for a giant tin of it for $18 LINK ) and I haven't had any issues, safe to ingest if it somehow happened lol, no smell I can notice, colourless and won't stain.

They also sell a few kinds of spray on lube, gonna try one next cleaning time.

If you want something less thick, NLGI 1 or NLGI 0 food rated aluminum greases are available from other suppliers.

I just use grease on everything. AR bolts get a good layer of Mobil 1 and afterwards I just wipe the dirty grease and gunk off. What carbon buildup? Lol

I'm not shooting north of 500 rounds in a session, nevertheless I invoke Works For Me(tm).
