Glad were off the my punctuation point .... Rob, aren't all SKSs supposed to be handled roughly?
Bought my super grade from bulls eye (site sponsor). Great shape, all matching serial numbers and no Cosmo. They seem to sell a lot of them.

I like to have the fun of removing the cosmoline (or leaving it in cosmo). Are Bullseye's supergrades blued with cartouches present around the front cross-bolt?![]()
Just bought 2 sks at CTC here, crap grad on for $169.99. Plus 20xctc dollars so got $27. CTC money! A 1953 Tula no refurb marks anywhere orig car touches but the mag was swapped probably when they laser printed the commie stamp, stock is ok, a few dings but cool to have on not refurbed, not sure if it has been issued or not! The other is a 1954 izzy, rough stock, heavy refurb for sure and no Chrome barrel which is interesting, but the barrel looks great! Not bad for shooter grade!
Ok, update, I didn't look close at the TULA till this morning, it isn't a Tula it is also an Izhevsk, and it is a 1953, non refurb just the mag mixed up probably at the pinning or Russian marking! So I got the non refurb Izzy in nice shape for $157. And change! The 54 is as deep a refurb as I have ever seen, even has a repair on the stock and xxed out stock, still cool, they are all cool in their own way! Oh man I think I am an SKS nerd!

Most of our CTC have lots of firearms now, and are selling 100's of sks, I am thinking of starting a thread to see who else has mismatched mags only on the off chance we can match some up again, even if only a couple guys get the right serial # it would be worth the effort!Good for you! My local CT's don't sell guns and the CT's further away that do sell guns, want to sell sporterized SKS only.
All I can do is read with envy about all those great deals and discoveries made by others.![]()

OK, I will start a thread, like you said on the other thread, it could take some work to make it easy to check, also some folks don't like to give up their serial # and I understand that, myself I don't mind! Those people could just give the serial # of their Mag which is of course not the same as their SKS!! Like I said even if a few people get matched up it would be great!
Count me in! That is a great idea, once the ball is rolling it could be very productive!![]()
