Suppressors?

Well, in all fairness. The average police/soldier will receive a whole lot more firearms training that what's covered in weekend in the CFSC.
- Just like they'll get refresher courses every year

Joe-Blow-Hunter?
- A weekend course, that usually also includes a whole bunch of stuff about hunting and regulations... and he/she/it is set for life, as long as they pay the fees every few years.

But how much do they retain.. Esp when a poster here is saying they're for mandatory service. But I witnessed way more unsafe firearm handling in the military, then on the ranges at civilian ranges. As civilians you get caught doing unsafe, the club can inform the CFO, have you banned from the club, all other clubs in the province and lost of firearms license. Military a stern talking and redo TOET. Also was told that they didnt feel comfortable with me putting a loaded glock in a holster and drawing from a holster as I wasnt upto date with my IPSC fees. Really paying money helps you be better?

But liked said previous, I took co workers to the range and no longer did I, as how they acted without that person with the stick to beat them. Pops and I on different occasions. Dodged 9mm from someone failing to forget to remove mag from their pistol when clearing them.. He was on BDF, and I was on a range after tour.

So trying to say just because someone has or carry daily, doesn't make them any better with weapons handing.

The average cop and CAF member is wildly incompetent compared to the average sport shooter (not hunter). I've run in both worlds for almost two decades.

I may have be the cause of the derail, so I will be the first to say let's get back on track.....

If you have time to waste, ask your MP at which decibel level firearms are considered "silenced" ?
- Is a standard 22lr too quiet to be dangerous to public safety
- * - He/she will most likely say no...
- You know what a typical 22lr is about 140db, right?
- * - He/she will most likely say no, I didn't know that...
- Did you know that a suppressed 308 is about 140db?
- * - He/she will most likely say no, I didn't know that...

So why are we not allowed to suppress 308 if it will be be any less discreet than a 22lr?
- * - [Insert blank stare] I don't know, because it's illegal?
