Surefire trainer compatibility with 7.62 brake

I built a custom muzzle brake modelled after a 7.62 Surefire SOCOM, but with a .375” bore and threaded in 1/2-28 (9mm/.38/.357) I wanted to put a warden on it, to try and redirect some noise away from the shooter. I found a 5.56 trainer at a good price and thought it would be just as functional as the warden, just a few inches longer. Turns out the second largest diameter on Surefire muzzle brakes varies from 7.62 (0.915”) and 5.56 (0.900”) brakes. Obviously, the 5.56 trainer does not fit on 7.62 brakes.

Does anyone have the ability to accurately measure the ID of a 7.62 trainer, or a warden, and maybe photograph it, to highlight what the difference might be compared to a 5.56 trainer? My understanding is the warden and 7.62 trainer will fit on both sized brakes. Is the 0.015” difference in bushing size made irrelevant by the taper shoulder to the largest diameter on the brake?

If I’m not describing it well, I’ll try to photograph what I’m speculating.

I have a warden, I swap it between 5.56 and 7.62 brakes, they share the same locking interface between the 1/2x28 and 5/8x24, from my understanding the only difference between the trainers is the weight, they are designed to mimic the weight and feel of an actual can, if it's just for looks I don't see why using a 556 trainer wouldn't work, the trainer is just a hollow tube, my buddy has a trainer that he swaps between 556 and 762 brakes on his Bren 2, not sure which one he has though.

This is the measurement I got from the opening of my Blast Warden, hope it helps.

Surefire warden will work for both 5.56 and 7.62, but surefire trainer will either be 5.56 version or 762 version. I bought a trainer for my Sig cross and it was the 556 version...........Won't fit
