Surplus 7.62x51 shoot off!!! - FEEDING YOUR STAG 10!!!

What kind of tweaking did you do in the first months?
I'm still having issues with the Norc copper washed surplus. Failure to eject/ Failure to feed

Don't recall all but to list a few;

Adjust and tighten gas block.
Adjust and tighten barrel nut and hand guard.
Sand and smooth barrel extention lugs until they stop shaving cases on ejection.
Replace buttstock and tube.
Replaced grip.
Replaced broken firing pin.
Replaced broken forward assist.
Removed one o-ring from under ejector .
Manually worked things in by cycling action 100's of times.
Lubed with lithium grease, gun oil, and G96 in varied combinations.

I also tried TulAmmo and it was okay but seemed over powered. Haven't tried it again since November. The rest I use on every trip, about 20 to 40 rounds of each just to make sure they still work.

No issued with the stock mag, 5/20 PMag, or XCR 10RND after the one FTE issue.

I like Hirtz the best but was surprised by the Norinco. I do wish I had bought more of the MFS 140gr as it was great. The Barnaul just doesn't do as well.

Yeah, it also says it's reloadable. If in doubt, give them a call to clarify. I'm sure it's an error one way or the other. My bet is on it being reloadable ie boxer primed. They move an awful lot of ammo. The old berdan primed ammo is long gone.

Weren't Tenda the ones who were advertising it as reloadable even though it was berdan primed and then doubled down on the falsehood, after being called on it, by claiming the technicality that berdan primed cases were reloadable?

That's going back a couple years, so I could be confused with another BS artist of a vendor.

Concerning Hirtenberger.

Berdan primed ammo have a white ribbon around each 20 round boxes while boxer have a grey one.

Shot about 720 rounds of each and accuracy wise :

Berdan averages 1.2 MOA
Boxer averages 1.4 MOA

Do berdan is not easily reloadable but it is the better round IMP, and cheaper as well.

Now if only someone could review the magtech ammo...

I ran 80 rounds of Barnaul 140 SP through my stag a few days ago. All cycled 100% and were reasonably accurate as well. Averaged 2840fps from my factory barrel. This is in contrast to some 2016 Lake City ball I used that was so inaccurate I thought my scope was broken. 4-6" group with lots of wild flyers showing up 1-4 feet from point of aim.

Did start break-in with Austrian HP surplus. Result were equal to PMC Bronze, which I came to have high expectations for the price. 1.5-2MOA without perfect technique.

Figuring a drop chart for the HP in a Maple Ridge 18.5" barrel.
