Personally I would refer to get spam cans & open them when/if I see fit. What bothers me more is the notion of our nanny state having to open each spam can and individually bilingually label each cardboard box or paper wrapped pack and then repack it into the crates & reseal the crates all for what I ask you???? To keep me safe down the road once I open the spam cans just in case I forget what caliber ammo it is??? FFS!!!! And to top it all off ......... who exactly pays for all this useless unnecessary extra labour & labels??? Some overpaid civil servant somewhere??? If so that boils down to you & me the tax payers are paying for it. If the importer is paying this to satisfy import restrictions & regulations then again .... it is being built into the price! I say ..... give me spam cans & reduce the prices! I'm a big boy & can figure out what kind of ammo it is once the spam can is open & it's in my hand!!
I don't need no stinkin nanny state labels!
I miss the early days when the Czech ammo came lead soldered in cans in the green crates!
That's not the case.
If they've been individually labeled that's the choice of the importer or distributor. When they're labeled like that they can legally be sold by the box.
Just look at Tradex's site. There are at least a half-dozen surplus listings for Czech, Chinese, and Swiss ammo that are in the crate or military packaging and the original spam can, if applicable. And the many dealers, like Westrifle, with spam-canned Russian ammo.
