I have personally Learned more things from Survivorman than Bears show "Killing your way through the woods"

I absolutely hate how bear kills a big animal, takes a bite, and moves on... when les kills something he uses what he can.

that said, bears show is more Entertaining.... like it should be on Spike TV as opposed to Discovery.

If both were to find themselves lost together, Les would set up a nicer camp, have all that he needs to survive, and once he did... Bear would have it all plus DINNER

But when the best you can do is kill a grasshopper there really isn't much to leave behind...

Les gets creds for self-filming and all involved, and loses them for sucking.

People can bad mouth survivorman as much as they want but the point of the show is to give outdoorsmen like ourselves knowledge of what to do incase it happens, I find the show very insightful and les is also very knowledgeable of the outdoors, in my opinion people should love the information they can get for free.

I have to agree here. How many armchair quarterbacks comment on how stupid he is when they think they have survival down pat from reading the SAS survival manual while on the toilet. Some I bet don't even know how to cook their own dinner.

Post your videos of your survival expeditions to show how it should be really done or just zip it and face reality. yak or do...

real life look at what you will look like 5 days in the bush lost = les

as kids we left home during summer break, and built lean to's, camps, made trails, discovered lakes/rivers/brooks. we were always spending the night in something we built, sleeping on bough's, listening to the coyote's walk the perimeter of our encampment. we never went hungry. caught fish without poles, cooked them over a fire, snared rabbits, you would be quite surprised how good a squirrel tastes. i would take squirrel over the best cut of beef.
i am not bragging by any means. i just think back, and feel sorry for kids living in this age of technology. OUR KIDS ARE MISSING OUT ON LIFE!

One more thing, Bear is a total rump ranger and enjoys spending his nights broke back mountain style with his cameraman. Perrier and cheese after the camera goes off.
