Svt 40 $299

Unfortunately I missed my chance when psmilitaria had them...

I'd take another look.

For you guys looking at the regular rifles. $300 is a great deal for a very nice semi auto 30 caliber rifle with a detachable 10/5 round mag, adjustable gas block and built in muzzle brake. The quality of these rifles makes the SKS look like a 2x4. The only problem is collecting them becomes addictive. I'm not a milsurp or red rifle guy and I'm at number 6. It's a disease.

$279 at P&D this week on their web page for SVT-40. The pic is with full mag, but the add does not indicate if its pinned. Though it must be unless they've borrowed a pic from somewhere else.

Well thats just darn good business !

In concern of Mags, their ad didn't indicate what they were selling. Butchered vs less butchered mags seems to be a hot issue, although more for the collector types.

Its a great rifle. I think everyone should have one :)

I just received mine today. It's in awesome condition. I'm especially impressed with the workmanship and finish of this rifle. Mine is a 1940 Tula, appears to possibly have the markings of rebuilt SVT-38. The stock is clearly an AVT stock because it has the groove for the safety/selector to go to the right for auto. All kinds of different stamps on the wood. Lots of history. This is a ###y rifle. Aesthetically pleasing.
This was my first purchase from Badger Arms Supply. I had lots of questions, and they answered them promptly. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
These pics are crappy, but I would appreciate some expert comments on the markings.

If its stamped 1940 i doubt its a SVT 38 plus theres a thread about the shape of the top of the reciever.....look in milsurps.
Nice gun though

Yeah same here...
We have the same issues...
If there's anybody out there who share something with regards to this
please post it here and share..
Thanks...

Just received my SVT-40. Canada post was also rough with mine. The barrel was sticking out the end of the box. Doesn't look dinged up. My conversation with the mail person went like this. "Here's your package, looks like a gun". "Is it that obvious?" "Well, it's sticking out the end..."

My wife bought it for me for my bday, and has decreed that I can't look at it until then so it's a surprise. So it's sitting in the box for another week. :(

I can't complain though, I've got a wife who shoots with me and buys me guns.... :)

Armand was good to deal with, can't wait for his Garands to show up...

Mine had the barrel sticking out the end too, but no damage. It took me awhile to get ammo for mine, so no range report yet. I've taken mine apart a couple of times and given it a real good cleaning.
The bore on mine is shiny, with real strong rifling. I wonder if this is a new barrel?
