Exactly what I am thinking. I had a partial ejection at 1.5. Any ideas on how to clean the gas port without damaging it? The bore is dark. I know why it is (Not my doing) but it suffered from FTE when the bore was good. There is not much for lube on the rifle right now. How much lube should be on the rails of the receiver? I had to use a lot of lube on the op rods on my Garand's. Is this an issue with the SVT 40 too?[/QUO
Dissasemble your gas system and clean the littles holes in the gas regulator, you can use a needle and some carb cleaner. Also check the gas port in the barrel but my guess is that your gas regulator is clogged. As for lube, usually, the Tokarev dont need much, fews drop on receiver rail and on the mating surfaces of the bolt and bolt carrier. I shoot mines pretty much dry,no lube particulary in cold weather(like most semi-auto rifle).
