svt 40 mag

Yep, lugs are glued on, lasted 10 rounds then locked the gun up solid for me. I couldn't figure out what was going on until I took the gun completely apart. One lug came off and jammed it completely. Unfortunate.

So I guess the best thing to do is find a shop that has a spot welder and weld them in place?

I was going to try and weld them back on and then file them in place, but they are fairly tiny, tough to hold in place for the weld.

I think these are mags were for show only, there's no way these are field grade or even practice grade. Blanks would tear them apart too.

I bet you guys could soldier those back on. I don't know how long they'd hold up for but I've soldiered the round limit pin inside my SKS mag on the follower pretty easily. You just have to make sure you get the surfaces clean and use flux.

I emailed em and I was told they got a bad batch that all had this issue. They told me to send both of mine back for repair/replacement. Awesome! Will test-fire again when I get em back.

I was just going to save mine as a backup but guess I better at least run a few rounds through it!
Some rest bar, there is no other sponsor I would rather order from or trust more than Corwin arms for customer service! They are top notch!

Thx for the heads-up... I haven't test fired mine yet... better send it back just in case.

Test fire it. If it holds up, fine, wasn't part of the bad batch, save yourself the hassle of shipping back and forth. If it fails, Martin will have your back, no questions asked.

I bought a couple of these as well, that I haven't gotten around to testing. Testing them is now a lot higher on my priority list.
