The gas setting depends on the rounds, what conditions you shoot in, and how clean the rifle is. Its a good idea to purchase the gas tool, and bring a big rubber mallet or 2x4 to the range with you the first time you take the rifle out. Once you have the gas adjusted to your ammo, its not likely to require any changes unless you change ammunition.
i want to buy a svt 40 as well but read somewhere it doesnt shoot hunting rounds very well, has anyone here tried sp hunitng ammo and if so how did it work?
