svt-40 scope

But, an original scope can be refurbed too. mine is, It has a square with a 1959 dated, maybe yours, doesnt have that ?
I don't see in mine marks of recondidionned for MN, tourets are correct specs for svt

I don't know why certain SVT scopes retained all SVT features during refurbishing. There are SVT xcopes that were stripped off all SVT features, there are some that have both MN and SVT features. But most were refurbished into MN specifications. Mine never went i to ruburbishing. It is as issued, all original SVT scope.

just saw one ads someone sold a combo regular Tula and the other one apparently an authentic sniper. the guys says he bought from corwin

I saw that! He could have probably gotten the $675 asking price just for the sniper rifle without the scope/mount and the other complete SVT40 thrown in for free! Wish I had seen that before it was gone in record time!

I saw that too...

Like I said I will be patient. I'm looking for a fine example.

Are you saying this one wasn't a fine exemple ? ;)
The store where seller bought it is known for making ''home made'' field notch..
I ask for pic of the notch but he never get back to me lol

The rifle that got sold... if it was truly 1942 rifle with rails "converted" into sniper then.. how do I put it... it was a huge mistake. 1942 rifle with rails and no notch is much scarcer than 1942 sniper.

I finally field-stripped mine today and cleaned it. You know, I think it was easier than my SKS to take apart. Maybe it's because it isn't much different than my CZ-858. That's my opinion, anyways. All I heard was how complicated they are. There's a couple good vids on Youtube, and I was off to the races. Next up for me is a scope, also.

And yes, I did the "SVT-Noob" spring launch first time around, but once I got the hang of it, the bolt assembly, etc goes right in quickly and easily.

If I have rails and no notch , cannot be fixed classic SVT scope?
