Had my SVT's out the other day. 1941 (4port) 1943 (12 port)
Both shot exceptionally well. Was using corrosive ammo.
End of the day (50 rounds +) the 4 port started not to eject the spent casing.
Lock up. Had to use a rod down the barrel to expel them.

Came home and cleaned both thoroughly.
Corrosive is messy sh!t !!!

This is what I found.

SVT 40 1941 4 port.
To me looks like the rifling extend into the neck, shoulder and into the body.
This is the one that was Not ejecting.

SVT 40 1943 12 port.

If anything the 1941 has way better grouping then the 43.

svt's have a fluted chamber. give it a good cleaning, and set the gas port to the largest opening.
if this doesen't fix it bring it to a competent gunsmith and have the chamber polished.

The first 50-60 round were fine...

Sure would like to see another SVT chamber.
Wondering if someone else who has a SVT and bought a Teslong Borescope wouldn't mind snapping a quick pic and posting.

Seeing that the 41 has way more dominate flutes that the 43.
Do you think they were deliberately cut more in the 41?

you should also inspect your fired brass.

The 41 brass all had flute markings. On the neck shoulder and half way down the case, not so much on the 43.
Guess I should have saved some and posted.
Even knowing it was the 41 that wouldn't ejected after 50+ rounds and had lots of flutes showing in the chamber. .
I'm now thinking it's the 43 chamber flutes are all full of crap.
Plugged off the chamber and have it full of "Patch Out" LIQUID Bore Cleaner over nite.
Not sure if the chamber is suppose to have flutes all the way in the chamber or not.
Will check it tomorrow.

Wiki says - The main benefit is that they use the gas from inside of the fired casing as a type of “lubrication” for the casing, which aids in its extraction from the chamber. ... If a casing being shot through the fluted chamber expands into the flutes of the chamber with too much force, the casing will stick in the weapon.
