I don't want to send it back as it is still a 1940 izhevsk, which if the production totals are correct would have a lower production number than a Kovrov. The wood to receiver fit is also the best I have ever seen in a svt & it looks like the gas piston & flash hider have been chromed on the inside. Humping aside I still consider it worth keeping. BTW, its not the only svt I have, with more to come.

I don't collect refurbs. Just no interest. All these are is a barreled receiver with mismatched parts and forced matched parts, same as a RC 98K. Shooter Grade.

I don't collect humped rifles or Turds with Fake WaA either, but some do, it's a thriving market. :D

Maybe you're collecting and promoting Fakes?

Never heard about a black svt-40, but i am not an expert... look weird

You have to wonder since there are 4 of them out there, SVT-40's with Dirty Birds, Fakes that is.
2 just sold. 1 sold a few years ago. 1 kept for his personal collection.
If you truly believed they were real and the holy grail, why would you dump any of them for resale??? Or is there something else to this???
