SVT40's with FAKE Nazi Markings

Are you saying the Nazi Bird stamp was very recently done, because if it was stamped pre 1945, the pitting would be in the depression lines left in the metal by the nazi stamp.

In the 1941, in the last 1 to the right, you can see pitting in the 1 (trough or depression) when you Zoom, but not in the Bird Stamp?

If the Nazi Bird was stamped a month ago, that's what you would expect.

f:P: Wow, ............{removed}..........

If all you wanted was a shooter, why did you pay a premium for a nazi marked piece??

You could have had a nice regular SVT for hundreds less.

What makes you think we paid a premium? Could have had a svt for $50 less is more like it.

Sorry, but your short answers ruffled my feathers.

Someone originally paid a premium. They were listed for $550. And you two guys have the rifles........

After this thread or mine at k98k, agentcq offered a price reduction or offered to take them back. Obviously he lowered his price. But a $50 premium is still a premium for a rifle imho worth less then an standard refurb.

If indeed you just paid the regular SVT price...that's good, for as long as you wish to own the rifle. But, when you go to sell it, you have to do full disclosure and it may well make it harder to sell it than if the controversy wasn't attached to it.

If you are planning to keep it anyway and don't care about this issue....then enjoy your rifle!
