Swamp Buck 2010

Thanks for the congrats guys...he is a good example of an E. Ont buck . :)

Here are a few more pics. WARNING: Graphic photo

As he was found, about 80 yards from where he was shot.

Could you run that far, with a hole that big in your heart? Almost cut it in 2...hole went right through, top barely connected.

Pretty hefty load for the 10 year old...but she made it. Not the 1st time, and it won't be the last either.

I was in the dry part of the swamp, and you still could not drive an ATV out to where the deer was, or it would be a submarine. ;)

PS...I used a buddies camera to take ALL of my pics. They have a time/date stamp on each one.
Found out when I put them on the computer that the GD camera had the wrong date on it...They all say Oct 31, so I have to try and crop/blur the dates out. :(

Must be all the mud on him that weighed up .LOL. Just messin with ya. Nice deer. I've shot deer before that went 80-100 yards before dropping and when I opened them up, their heart was like a ball of hamburger.

Big-Buck Contest Update: (in case you were wondering ;))

Winner was 280 lbs, 2nd-261 lbs, 3rd-252 lb, and I came in 4th-245 lbs.

I won a free shoulder mount, a $600 value...not too shabby. The prizes that got chosen before I had a chance were $500 cash, a Traditions ML, and a Excalibur X-bow.

This was the 1st year for this particular contest, so next years should be even bigger. 250 entrants, and over $10,000 in prizes this year.
