I just traded a new camo Polytech stock for a 2007 Norinco Chu-wood stock. It fit perfectly including the handguard. I read a couple of posts saying the Poly stocks were a bit smaller than the Norincos and needed fitting.
Way better than the stinky balsa wood Norinco. I dont think it will be hard to repaint it. The paint film is thin and I think it would come off with 400 wet/dry. The camo pattern is kind of growing on me. Its kind of a combo 1970 era G.I. Joe(kung-fu grip) meets Fred Bear.

I like the USGI fiberglass better than I like the new synthetic. I prefer my USGI walnut to all of them. I definetly did not like the original 2007 chu wood that came with my first m14s.

Yes I have a Surplus fiberglass stock for my other rifle. The Polytech is not as nice. The Poly is way better than Chu-wood. Its also nice not to have to the full auto selector hole fill repairs like on the surplus stock. The surplus is much more solid.

I prefer usgi fiberglass over chu wood or chinise plastic.
Then I take the usgi fiberglass and heavily modify it to this... :D

Base model 425.00, rail options extra.
The full understock rail model normally goes for 500. I knocked 25.00 off that for the one listed in ee cuz it's christmas :)
Why by an an american import like Vltor when I offer a quality product right here at home ;)

When I buy the rifle (in the new year), I'll be buying a stock like yours for it. From what I hear, importing something like that from the States can be a PITA.
