Thanks for the info. Someone has posted an M94 swede mauser in the EE, but after I checked out the ad, it appears to be an M96/38 carbine. The bolt handle is straight, 1912 dated reciever, no cut out in stock for sling, no nose cap and too long to be an M96. The rear sight screams M96, while the stock is definetly not from an M94. Its still a good deal at 200$ though!
My receiver was made in 1915 by husqavrana but it has a new barrel made in the 50's but my 96 has been turned into a CG63
???? They never had a cutout in the stock for the sling, you are probably thinking of other types of mausers. and the m/96 swedish mauser is longer then the m/38, and I am not sure what you mean by nosecap.
