Swiss Arms addicts sound off

Here it is, another Swiss Arms praise thread. I am addicted to these rifles, and have so many in the safe that I don't think my credit line will ever stop smoking. It is one of the few uber-expensive guns where, when you handle one, you say to yourself: "wow, that's worth the money." Everyone needs to try one.

nice rig, I love my shorty too!
Where can you get that telescoping folding stock from?

How many of you use the grease from the cleaning kit that came with the gun? I use that stuff on all my guns and I'm starting to run out of it. Do you know what brand it is and where I can get some more?

Thanks to Uncle Walther's house of Swiss Pr0n, I have a B&T rail for my carbine. After hearing about how heavy it is, I was expecting...

something else.

Even with an S&B Short Dot mounted, the added weight of the rail is easily acceptable. Less than a pound, and less in overall weight my Socom 16 of old.

My LT661 short mount for my Aimpoint Micro dot is on the way, and a Surefire scout light and GG&G Sling thing completes the mix. I'll be parroting Juliet Lima's idea on Magpuls for the mags. Only have an embarrassing 9 mags so far, but it sure beats an embarrassing 5.

Pics to follow when I get a moment....

Are you talking about that white grease in the tube that comes with the new type cleaning kits or the black grease that came in the two black plastic cans with the old type cleaning kits?

Hi

That grease is called "Automatenfett"

There was a group buy in the works on this sight:

You might be able to pick up a tub if someone did not show up with the $$$$ as promissed.

It's just moly grease. $5 a pound from the autoparts store.

I will print labels and sell it for $100/lb if you want yours to say "Automatenfett"

Since we we're having a relaxing noon-hour...

Bloom had the right idea for starting the day, browsing at Canadian Gun Nutz...

Then she took the show outside.

Giving me time to work. Here's the updated Carbine photos.

She's mean and lean now. Co-witness is excellent when mounted on forward rail. The sight needed to be moved here, because the B&T receiver rail places the LT661 mount a bit too high to provide proper co-witness though.

Thanks to Blaxsun for the new Larue LT661 mount.

And Uncle Walther for the B&T rail.

Top of the 'never sell' list. I still have to go shopping for rail covers and magpuls.

I got mine from Uncle Walther. Call it a private asset retention program; sold, but we know where to find it later.

But it is commonly available from The Shooting Edge.

JESUS CHRIST ... are you serious? :( :( :(

Yeah.

TSE might have a bit better pricing, but after checking a few places, that's what I learned about trying to get one in Canada.

Not cheap.

Then again, when its $850 for a T1 Mirco dot, $225 for a mount, nothing comes cheap.

Don't even get me started on mag prices...

Beats not having it though.
