Swiss Arms celebration!

The legislation indicates the 12(9) rifles will be as the 12(6) pistols with respect to ATT. So, I’m under the impression it will be a range queen and not a safe queen. For now, anyway. But, when it comes to gun ownership in this country anything could be just for now.
I hope you're right—that's how I read it as well. Since there's only range-only shooting in Nova Scotia (other than hunting) that restriction wouldn't affect me. I've read some other interpretations that say the ATT provisions are more like those for the 12.5s and 12.3s—technically available but requiring permission for each visit (and never being granted either).

If, the issueing of an ATT under 12(9) stated "shall issue" as mandatory, rather than "may issue" as in illusionary, I would be less worried.
Like all else, the cost of these made them a significant investment and effort to acquire.
I would rather celebrate them than reminisce about them.

i dont own one but i have shot a couple and they are great...if i did own one now i would definitely keep it

edit: woot i found pics of me shooting the CQB

I just picked one up at bulleyes ... Regret is a bugger .. can't wait to shoot my black special!!!

You won’t be disappointed. It’s one of those guns when, as soon as you open the case and pick it up, you say: “damn... it’s really worth the money! It’s why I sold all of my G36’s. Had a G36P, G36K, and the G36C. In each case the comparable Swiss Arms was superior (weight being the only point in favour of the G36).

Hahahhahaha so true !!!! No matter what happens in the end I am glad I grabbed it !!! I remember my cousin saying he put tape on the receive to stop damage from the extracting brass. Could anyone upload a pic or link of the best placement? Is there a specific tape to use?

Any concession they give now with allowing you to keep them as restricted will only be temporary, once the dust settles they will take the next step.
I really can't see them giving any 12.? class to owners, what would be the point of going through all the trouble to ban or reclassify them just to let people keep using them? It makes no sense, with the lefties in power they really don't need to worry about pissing us off, they already know we're not voting for them.

I personally wouldn't want a 12. whatever class on my license, I have no desire to own a rifle I can't shoot and a $3000+ safe queen that is now worth $800 because there is no market for a prohibited rifle doesn't sound like a good deal to me.

I shot a classic green two years ago and must say , it was the best fitting , best feeling , best shooting 556 I've ever shot . Absolute unicorn gun for me unless I get very lucky , but I still haven't forgotten how perfect that rifle was .
Someday .

I'd be buying a non restricted one and saving it for my children. Gun owners need to stop being so obsessed with being law abiding and more obsessed about keeping their rights.

I love the SA, it's a bloody laser and better than any damn AR. Been tempted in the past to trade my Cadex 338 for a CQB and cash.

They're pretty sweet but let's not get too crazy. There are some pretty amazing ARs, particularly for the price those Swiss arms go for.

I owned a classic green flat top a couple years ago and at the time I owned it I also owned an ACR, a few AR's, an AR-180B and an HK SL8-4 and the ones I kept were the ACR and the AR180B (and AR's of course). The SA rifles are very nice but I couldn't stand the POI shift when transitioning from the bipod to supporting it on the magazine. I didn't find it to be any more accurate than a regular cheap AR.
It was a well built rifle that was simple and reliable but best shooting it was not. My ACR and the SL8-4 would both easily shoot tighter groups with the same ammo.

I definitely don't want to see any restrictions placed on these awesome rifles but they're not some magical unicorn that does everything better than the rest of the rifles available to us.
