Mine should be back at Marstar tomorrow. It will be interesting what they do for my refund! I said it was unsafe because of the bolt and that it wasn't a real Italian T2 Garand as advertised, so those are both totally legit complaints!!!

I'll let everyone know what happens.

Ian

good luck

Shipping from Marstar to me $46.50
Shipping from Me to Marstar 40.60 + $1.50 (sig)+ $36.00 (insur) + $1.23 (fuel)+ $3.97 (tax)= $83.36
Total spent of shipping charges $129.86

Getting dry ****** by the man of his word with the ironclad guarantee priceless!

I don't care about the insurance charge, that's was my choice, but sure was nice spending $100 on nothing.

Wow if that is a $100 average on all the rifles sold and returned. If j1 doesn't give the shipping back he will have cost the gun buyers a large chunk of cash in in the neighborhood of 20K

So I had a gunsmith take a look at the rifles in my possesion. All three closed on a "no go" gauge. The bolts on all three have been welded and ground to various degrees. The gunsmith did not need to examine them further. In his opinion they were all unsafe to fire.

I wonder if the hack that put these together faked the Proof marks too?

Thanks for taking the time and effort to do that.
One more thing to add to the misrepresentation list for these rifles.

your gunsmith is a m*ron, because These Garands are collectibles, and are NOT to be confused with inferior commercial conversions

:)

This entire thread summed up.

Notice today (8/4/2016) the rifles (colour matched and non) are showing as sold out....

As long as ALL J1 gets out of this is some bad publicity. He will keep pushing a very bad and potentially lethal phony T-2 garand rifle.

lets say if he takes them all back and get them fixed correctly by a competent smith, how much would they be worth?
