T81 Bent Rifles, or just how does one take measurements off a stamped receiver?

blah blah blah.... so tired of this unique to CGN basement dweller hype.

The Type 81 is an amazing example of a Sino-Soviet weapon, it's just too much battle axe for the small little group here who never shoot but sit on their coach and stare at thier gun all day.

I am here for the entertainment, lol

So what this bend is telling me is that they're selling an ergonomicly set up left hand rifle, you guys got a deal as most lefty rifles come at a higher price tag than standard right handed rifles lol.

I wanted to perform surgery with my type 81 lol

Lol. I can't believe you are trying to compare a $2500+ tavor to a cheap t81. If that's your expectation, just skip the t81. You'll sleep better.

Actually my comparison was the $600 made in the USA AR vs the $1000 made in Communist Chyna T81 that shoots around corners.

Guess the cost of sweat shop labour has really gone up in the PRC.

SMH. Someone's making a profit.

Range session number 2 complete, another 360 rounds downrange. The gun is definitely wearing in and is just getting smoother. The trigger in particular is better, the reset is noticeably less than before and squeezing off shots feels good. I was hitting my 8" square gong at 75 yards with regularity once I got my sights dialed in, had to push it over to the right and down.

However some issues came up, BHO started to not work reliably like before, I was too busy shooting and having fun to see if it was only with certain mags or not. All rounds except one went off without a problem, I had to give the bolt a little bit of help to push that round up the feed ramp. The grip on the gun and front handguard have come slightly loose and the pin for the mag catch is loose and wanders out. I had to push it all the way back through a couple times.

This gun keeps growing on me, other than tightening some things down I don't think I am going to change a thing on it.

Well we ARE a capitalist country. The profit margin on the T81 is definitely higher than on a $600 AR, but then again, there is no competition for the T81.

This in a nutshell. Comparing a $600 dollar AR range toy to a currently unique 81, in a marketplace flooded with cheap AR's, really goes to show some people's understanding of capitalism.

I can dress up an SKS, play around with an 858 or pay double or triple (at least) for a safequeen Valmet. Those are my options for an AK/AK-ish type rifle in Canada. I might be forgetting something but that is basically it for choices.

I am very happy with my choice, I really don't care if others don't like the fact that it is "communist" or whatever, I don't base my opinion on other peoples emotion based decision making processes. Moan about "Chyna" all you like, I got a big bowl of popcorn and a sweet rifle to shoot lol
