Here is our comparison. Hope it helps.

Had 2 buddy's show up late in the day with a Gen1 WK and T97.
Was getting dark but my ex CFs buddy shot both at 50 yards low light (so 2 Mildots off POI) off a wobbly bench. The WK was very accurate but started stringing after the 4th shot. The T97 had shot 5 pulled but was getting too dark to try again, man is he a great shooter.
All in all, both shot very well, and never missed the little steels at 50 yards!
Cannot say enough about both these platforms would love to see a Tavor grouping as well.
The bullpup is strange getting used, the scope rings were too low but higher mounts are coming, flung and dented the brass, but was overall an super compact dependable shooter.
Once he gets the new scope rings we will try 100 yards.
First, a hearty thank you for the posts above. Even though this is a topic that comes up periodically over and over again, it is very useful information and I appreciate those of you who took the time to report your own experiences with these rifles. I always read these posts with interest.
Second, just a note of advice to other novices like me in this field of modern sporting semiautomatic rifles... Reliability, and solid quality, if not outright ruggedness of construction are of absolutely highest priority in my view.
Regardless of budget.
I was very conscious of pricing starting out, and I wasted money on unreliable items, which were nice in concept, and not too expensive, and are now completely useless, broken, and awaiting repairs, which will probably take the better part of half a year, warranty or not.
Reliability is key. Saving a few hundred bucks - or even $1000 - makes no sense whatsoever, if you buy junk.
I would rather have one $3000 rifle that I can depend on for the rest of my life, rather than a couple pieces of junk at $1000 apiece, that can't even withstand gentle usage in indoor ranges, etc.
Seems like an obvious point, but it was an expensive lesson.
I will let someone else decide where the X95, MCR, Benelli MR1, and Kel-Tecs shakeout with respect to the above
Dueodde.
can't speak to the T97 but shot a friends MCR/180 yesterday .. didn't go well.
with Pmags it would not eject. Bolt moved back maybe 1/4 the way back. With the supplied steel Israeli mag still wouldn't eject, bolt moved 2/3 of the way back.
Ran one round in chamber with no mag and it ejected every time but ejection was very limp. Didn't exactly just fall out of the rifle but it had a very wimpy ejection, tossed it about 1:30-2:00.
I ran the bolt over the two empty mags and seems to me there's way too much downward pressure from the bottom of the bolt on the top of the mag/follower, especially the Pmag.
Have no idea what is going on with this thing but it's literally a one shot rifle at the moment. Also gotta say it's a real pig to handle. And even though the receiver set seemed decent, all other parts are the cheapest AR parts you can buy.
That sounds unusual, reliability with both WK and WS-MCRs has been very high
Spotty reliability has been well documented for both models on CGN alone.
I've got first-hand knowledge of 3, two WKs and one WS.
All of them have had issues, from broken parts on the WKs to double-feeding and mag pickiness on the WS.
Why Bratwurst is gaslighting for these guns is one of CGN's little mysteries.
"Gaslighting#is a form of emotional abuse that's seen in abusive relationships. It's the act of manipulating a person by forcing them to question their thoughts, memories, and the events occurring around them."
I'm not sure if gaslighting means what you think it does haha, either way it gave me a smile.

My experience with this format is low. I handled one awhile back (didn't shoot) and really didn't like it for many reasons. Also stumbled across many posts detailing a sizeable list of issues. But to be honest never really cared because I'm not going to own one.
Now that I spent more time with one and actually shot it I have a really hard time believing this is a reliable rifle. I will pay a little more attention to try to help my friend out but am seriously not impressed with this thing.
