I took my WK180 off to the range today for the first shoot
Initially I started with a brass collector attached to the rifle and this caused a double feed, then an extraction stoppage
I removed the brass catcher and after that the rifle ran like a top
I was shooting at 50yds as that's the length of the range, and I'm really not a trick shot by any means
My rifle was fitted with a set of after market flip up iron sights which I was quite pleased with
The rifle's trigger was a little heavier than what I'm used too, however it was still easy to work, and the reset on the trigger is quite positive / tactile
While firing I was using a C clamp grip with my forward support hand, and it's a different feeling from an AR, as you've got the piston moving under your hand vs a buffer assembly at the rifle's rear
Midway through the shoot, I opened up the rifle which was quite easy and gave the the bolt, guide rods, and the interior of the upper receiver a good coating of lube
I continued shooting the rifle sitting, kneeling, standing, prone, and even tried doing some basic shooting while advancing on the target and moving backwards
For closing I loaded up two mags for the rifle, did some shooting and moving with it, then transitioned to my pistol within 10 yards and fired off 3 pistol mags from there
Aside form the initial problems with the brass catcher, the rifle worked well without it and there were no more issues
In total I fired 120 rounds through the rifle and like it so far
My shooting skills do need work, really got to get out and train more
Just remembered I set my cocking handle up on the left side
I cleaned the threaded part of the cocking handle and also the hole in the bolt carrier that the cocking handle threads into
Blue Loc Tite was then used on the cocking handle when I put it on the rifle, nothing came loose while firing and having it on the left side was convenient
My sling was a basic 2 point Magpul sling, para cord to attach it to the rear collapsible stock, and a pushbutton mount to attach it to the front hanguard
