T97 barrel issue AND NRR WISHLIST!!!

Did Can am not tell us in an earlier thread that his guns were been packed to be shipped? This was around the time the other guns started coming into the country. Now it is coming out that they are still in production or have yet to be produced. It seems that he doing what ever it takes to stall for time (including mislead people) in hopes that there will still be a market left for his rifles. Please tell me I am wrong and clarrify earlier statements that these were already made. I have a pre-order waiting but it sure seems like we are been strung a long.

Well there is not much of a market for the ones that are already here . The hype was short lived . At lease one dealer that shows how many they have left still show over 30 of them in stock & it's been like that for a wile now . Plus they are popping up on the EE some as cheap as $900.
If & when the T97NRR shows up I'll get one if not I can live without . ;)

Is this thread a joke? Canam said these rifles were to be here in fall. It's fall now and they're making changes, seems to me these rifles will be here never.

This is my point. We are told one thing and a month later we see that it was not true. There is no FRT (yet we were told that there were 2000 rifles made and ready to be shipped, who would take a risk like that with no approval by the RCMP) or picture of this rifle. When I asked Can Am on a previous (now deleted fourm) are these rifles produced or not. He will not comment. Im afraid all of these games have worked.

The prospect of saveing a few hundred dollars has worked because is has caused people to be ignorant to the fact that these rifles do not exist and may not for a long time. If he came out told the truth that the rifles could be 6 months away, most people (including me) would be OK with this. But when we get contridicting statements from the owner it should make everyone wonder. The T97 NNR may as well be $399.95 if it does not exist.

It sucks that North Sylva stole your project from under you, i agree that it was greasy thing to do, but cant you be a bigger man and be honest with whats going on?

Why cant Can am be straight forth with us? If you cannot clarrify the status I will be canceling my order because at this point all it is, is my deposit sitting in your account for a gun nothing more then an idea.

Given the so so reviews on the T97s I think I might invest in an XCR or a Tavor instead. After a few years down the road when I get sick of my XCR/Tavor I might check back on this thread and see what the newest expected arrival date will be on the T97TRR.

When it is finally made public that Can Ams guns will never exist, everyone who put their name in will not just save $200 they will actually be saving $850.00!!

I do see your worry. But CAN-AM isn't some lone shark or random online sketchy dude selling fake weight loss pills.

My point is there is a very good reputation to uphold here, I don't think they would do any of what you fear as it would be poor business practice.

Ppl ask me why do I wait for the nrr t97. This is why

Before people started getting them, I noted I may buy one at some point but that I would let others be the guinea pigs.
I received the "its already been tested by the chinese military so its 100% sure to be A-OK" speech.

And now, in light of these defects, one of my favorite replies :

TOLD YOU SO.

So when someone with a good reputation contradicts themselves publically and will not clarrify (locks all threads whare the issue is pushed) do we just resort back to their reputation and say it never happened?

Nobody is contradictory. If you read the main thread, I am very clear about the wait. We have never indicated the state of build. In the other thread, we discussed waiting for a better gun vs delivering the same gun that is currently for sale.

Now it is clear that delivering the same gun that sits on the market is not the wise choice, so we will deliver the improved gun.

If you're serious about bringing in an improved version then maybe you should consider changing the name. NNR is too similar to NSR. I think you should avoid using these letters altogether.
It would be better to have a name that makes a statement like T97FUL .

Giving an eta for these rifles indicated the state of the build. You said an eta of fall, it's fall now.

With all the hype, I am surprised by the massive amount of stock out there... I hope that canam has indeed pushed back import till he has a revised rifle. I personally am not feeling the love for the current T97...

So for the record you are saying that your guns have not been produced yet and the design of it is not complete? It would be fair to say then that with no design and no FRT that we are looking at a Min 8 months?

Where have you ever seen that they have no frt? its the same gun that is being imported... ie same FRT... When logic fails people fail...
