T97 barrel issue AND NRR WISHLIST!!!

Where have you ever seen that they have no frt? its the same gun that is being imported... ie same FRT... When logic fails people fail...

Just like every one of the 50 plus AR15 versions on the market have different FRTs depending on manufactor? You change anything on a guns design and it needs a New FRT. Even more so if it is made by a different company. What was this about a fail?

When math does not add up it is ok to question it, there are far to many people on here who seem to be chained down to dealers bandwagons.

These guns that Canada ammo claims are here "in fall" have no "child number".
Frt numbers have one main number and a "child" number. Think about a colt single action army, one model but can be had in more than a few caliber choices. Each and every one has a different frt number.
How these guys have hung onto so many preorders for all these years is amazing.
Fear not, I'm sure these guns will be here soon.

I can't believe nobody has asked for a threaded barrel yet! So, for the wish list, barrel with standard AR15 threads please. :)

I thought it came with a flash hider already pinned on

I believe its pinned without threads. Maybe like this:

The first batch of these NSR sure seem like a big bag of #### to me, feeding issues, #### for accuracy, mags don't fit, bore damage from drilling gas port, no bayo lug, I wouldn't even buy one of those POS NSR. If CanAm's take a little longer and address the issues I have no problem waiting some more.
Threaded barrel 1/2x28 and a basic A2 flash hider would be on my wish list for these.

Even if it takes another year for these guns to come in, I'd rather wait, save more money, and then get a better product than what is being offered now. If the feed ramps are improved, the mag release made non-proprietary or at least ambi, and the sight posts made either removable or just purely improved, then it truly is worth the wait. They'd essentially be GEN 2 models improved with consumer feedback, how can you not want that?

What are the chances that they will actually make these changes, after all we are not talking about Custom Blauser rifles, these are guns that came from a country who screwed him over last time around sending fully auto recievers so they could line their pockets abit deeper. I doubt that these guys realy care about all of the little things we want changed.

Why would they be improved? I've never heard of a Chinese manufacturer improving a rifle because we wanted it improved, i.e the m305, the later models are worse than the initial model!!!

I don't understand what people expect from a 1000$ Chinese rifle. I knew exactly what to expect, that's why I have a Tavor AND a T97 BOTH. Also why I haven't shot my T97 yet, I'm not in a hurry, I know it'll be a headache.

Don't expect a 1000$ rifle to operate similarly (OR BETTER???) than a 2700$

Some of you have some serious delusions...

The trick to dealing with China is having your own boots on the ground. If you don't have someone there from your company, you WILL have delays and you WILL have problems. That's just the way China works, they'll do anything and everything to undercut you if you're not watching. I've never seen anything from China come out on time when you didn't have your own representatives pushing them to get it done. Improvements CAN be made, the question of whether or not they will is very dependent on the distributor and the manufacturer working closely together.

As for the M305, I've heard different things about that gun all over the place. As far as I've heard it was just one or two particular years where the model was real crap, I've heard better of their latest stuff.
But the main problem there is they're trying to keep the price the same while conditions are changing making it less profitable , so again, they're Chinese doing what Chinese businessmen do, cut quality and keep lower price.
But as we all know, the M305s are going to get a price hike next year to reflect the changing conditions in China. I don't think the quality of the rifle will greatly improve, but I do believe we can expect it to not get worse for a little while.

I think my comment sparked a fire. I just meant to say there will be a longer wait than anticipated. Like canam said. Get one thats on the market now if you really want. Lets just wait and see what comes of it.

I wonder what is going to happen to N/S next big shipment of T97's they said would be here Feb 2014 with a price increase ? lol
The way the current ones are selling the dealers will still be trying to unload the first shipment

Wow, people get "tribal" even about guns...
I have an NSR...yep, mag fussy with plastic mags, and at first with grey lar15's. Determined that was a mag issue...now corrected. No feeding issues, steel/aluminum mags drop free, accurate, reliable, and my barrel is fine. For the price, I'm happy...especially b/c I don't care for 5 round mags anyway.

Looking forward to an NRR as well...
