Why different trigger guard from the mil. version ?

I managed to fit a Trijicon Ta33 3x ACOG on mine, no rail needed but had to measure and drill thru the tough steel proprietary rail. I can use the iron sight as well since the 3x acog comes with a see thru mount. I parked the TA60 picatinny adapter, not needed.

I'm just waiting to put on a short A2 bird cage flash hider instead of the long one. I may have to either thread it or remove the threads on the A2 and locktite and pin it instead of the long Chinese one. it'll shorten the rifle by at least 1''.

It's perfect for my big head . Eye relief is also ok, noticed I had to lean into it but if you have a similar set up with an AR platform you'll be in it naturally.

I like running NCH on my ARs. The T97 does not feel long or awkward.

LOP looks ok.....it the distance from the buttpad to the rear sight that I am worried about. That is super short.
The distance is less than an AR with the stock collapsed.


Who here shoots their AR with the stock closed and finds the sights good to go?

So just one screw is holding that Acog on there and in alinement? Is the mount engaged with the stock mount or just sitting on it?

Empty mag, or fingers in the mag well. I fingered my Type 97nsr's mag well. My fingers smelled oily.
