T97 picture thread

one of my chinese friend got a new thought for 97s ambi release.

This is what I like to see, pure and simple, Ingenuity.

Kind of reminds me of the ingenuity in the early AR-15 A1 days when we where milling the carry handles off and mounting scopes.

It was many years after before the first commercial flattop receiver hit the market.

Empty mag, or fingers in the mag well. I fingered my Type 97nsr's mag well. My fingers smelled oily.

Fish Oil?????

Can someone please tell me how long the upper and lower parts of the gun are? I also want to know if the sights are removable, and if the plastic nub thing, or what I assume is plastic, is removable.

Cheers

So just one screw is holding that Acog on there and in alinement? Is the mount engaged with the stock mount or just sitting on it?

Loctited to death, And yes one screw with more locktite into it as well. The scope sits on the flush part of the front t97 rail so it doesn't want to move but who knows until I shoot a few hundreds on it. I have a few plan "b's" but will see. I'm very optimistic it'll hold.

Just done my sight setup . will try on next CQB match.

This is 10 rounds at 100 yards with a Vortex Strikefire. At this distance the dot basically covers the target.

I found the norinco bulk ammo pretty inconsistent, not surprising.

I do like the look of that other style mag release. I ended up doing the Troy style because it seemed easier to fabricate. I've been playing with it a lot and it works like an absolute charm!
Painted mine last night, will throw pics up this afternoon.
