I've decided to start doing some upgrades to my tac-14, and I'm trying to narrow down which handguard I would like to go with. It's either the Surefire dsf-870 or the Strike Industries VOA. Anyone happen to have opinions on either?
Reviews of the VOA seem pretty good, but there aren't that many. It's aggressive looking, and grip wise, and has a bit to offer, like being lightweight, m-lok slots etc...
The DSF looks to be solid AF, and so it should be, it's a Surefire. But it's also quite heavy for what it is, and doesn't look like it offers a whole lot in the way of grip, certainly not in comparison of the VOA. It would also be ~3x the cost of the VOA.
Anyone have any opinions on either options? Maybe something else I should be considering?
Any feedback is much appreciated!
