Is this still the basic idea for the course??

I won't be able to make it for all the dates but I'm in for at least 4 days.

Yeah, we got a deal on the pricing for sure...TR's prices have gone up.

Still wouldn't stop me from attending again though...good times.

The B.C. courses this coming May are still US$400 per 2-day course :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:

If one took all 5 courses, that'd be a US$1000 savings :D :D :D
 
I'm seriouly not gettting the reason for the price hike. According to their site the course are now US$400, and TR used to charge an extra $100 for out of country classes, so that makes US$500 for the course, which is $250 a day.

I can't beleive that Ontario is so much more out of the way then BC that they would need to charge more.

Get over it there are increases like anything else costs of insurance coverage ,flights,hotels,Car rentals, and the list goes on if you want to get the same training cheaper then take the courses in the US. the other thing you overlooked is the date the courses were booked maybe the BC courses were booked before a price increase you think of that .:rolleyes:

These guys make there living teaching courses and to teach these course they take courses from other instructors this all costs money. :cool:

There is a simple solution to this matter is if you feel that there prices are out of line then don't take the courses your loss. :dancingbanana:

I'm not talking about TR's price hike (that's their business), I'm talking about the extra $50 a day being charged ($300 a day vs. $250 a day). I get these things require effort to setup since I've tried it once before, but it adds up.

Did you even consider Range Rental fees, most if not all ranges will not host this training without paying a Rental fee of some sorts because the courses often use a portion or the entire range depending on the range layout

Unless I misunderstod........ That's not the way it was explained to us in BC last May. Any courses you do again are only half price. No mention about only being in Cambden. I know that the Alumni Weekend is only held in Cambden and is free as such (excluding accomodations & ammo etc). That's the impression we got from the way it was explained to us. I heard it at the end of each iof the three courses I did back-to-back.

I'll have to Call James or Stacey and find out for sure.

Yes, and that would of course be a satisfactory answer. Hell, so would "I want to make tiny profit to make my doing the work worthwile". Except that Strombringer stated in the first post that:

Cost would be more than other places........$300 US per day due to increased travel and lodging costs.

And that's what I don't get. How is EESA more remote or expensive then BC?

Anyway, it's not a deal breaker, I'm just curious.

There would be no need for anyone to do this** with regards to Tac Response. The organizer trains for free! That's payment enough I would think!

(** I am not, BTW, implying that is what you are thinking.)

I asked James about this in September when I was in Tennessee taking Fighting Pistol and Rifle so unless he made a special accommodation for the Canucks I'm pretty sure you have to go to TR to get this deal.

Oh...and if you take training in Tennessee then you can stay in the team room for free...which sure saves a lot of cash.

I hope you are right though...that would make taking courses in BC this summer a lot cheaper! :)
 
I am strongly considering heading down to Camden for the fighting rifle and advanced fighting rifle 24-27 Feb... anyone from ontario feel like spliting gas money?

I'm going to the Holidaysburg PA run for Fighting Rifle and Advanced fighting rifle the last week of May. It's a bit closer.
