Tactical flashlight on AR

For a side mount a Surefire G2 in DD or Vltor mount is fine, SF Scout if feeling spendy. 12 o'clock infront of front sight SFx300 or TLR1. The high lumen lights are too much light for inside work.

You are correct, the mount is made by CAA and is offered through the Fenix website.

Hey TDC, not trying to be too picky but that is very similar to the CAA mount, but I believe it is a Cheetah, Basically the exact same just different name with a lower price.:D

Not sure what Fenix website you are referring (Canada or USA?) to but the Main Fenix site in China dose not list mounts as they don't make them. (yet!)

That's the one! I just checked it out closer, and sure enough, 'Cheetah' on the side.

Not a bombproof mount, but works for me!

I was running a SF Scout light on a 14.5" 6920 mounted at 3 o'clock on a KAC RAS. For most course work it was fine. However I just came off a two day rifle combatives (simunition) course and I had trouble activating the light quickly during link ups. I switched out the scout for a TLR-2 and had no issues after that. Less hang ups on indoor stuff as well.

just my opion..... but i believe that adding a light/ or lazer creates one helluva target for a bad guy to aim for.

And without illumination tools it will be hard to locate and identify enemy...Proper use of flashbulb technique will minimize your exposure..not constant on.

I wouldn't doubt if they're al made in the same factory under several names, but thanks for that anyway.

Oh, and Frenchyguy, you've been told. Less hollywood and more reality.

I've seen worst set-ups

HOLY FREAK BATMAN!!!
Do you think it's posible to get a bigger light!?!
:p
Imagine the poor sob that you shine that flood lamp on...

right now I was thinking of Surefire models M600C Scout Light, X200 or X300 w/ pressure switch, or M951.
I do love the Surefire M900 models but just too pricey.. how are the surefire tape switches any good?
The other option is to go with a set up like AbHobbyist or angryeyebrows is using and just use the tango down battle grip & thumb hold to turn on.

I used this exact set up overseas. Works great! The only thing was my little battery cap retaining clip thingy went missing and I replaced the junky plastic mounting system with the LaRue one....which is awesome.

The more I look at your setup, the more I like it!!

May have to build me one of those with my own special touches!!
