On the left is my Chinese SKS-D - has a Russian stock, Hungarian leather sling, and has an 18.6" barrel that's threaded for M14x1LH, I'm gonna put an AKM slant brake on it.

On the right is my Russian Tula 1952 SKS - all matching, has a wolf spring set for the trigger group, archangel stock, Matador Razer scout mount w/ a Vortex crossfire red dot, and u chopped the barrel down to 18.6", removed all the bayonet hardware, re-crowned and reblued. Also has an NCstar gas tube and Matador arms extended mag release.
You can also use iron sights while the optic is still mounted - the mount itself has a channel that acts as a rear sight.

On the left is my untouched '53 Tula - only the stock and magazine don't match, everything else is original (not force-matched).

On the right is a Bubba'd 55/56 Tula, the only things that matched were the bolt and receiver, which is why I chose this one to bubba. It's got a Tapco stock, MagWedge Gen 2 rail, a MagWedge QwikPin, and a cheap Chinese mil-dot scope. Scope is mounted so that I can still use stripper clips to load. I built it for fun, and to loan to unarmed people when we go into the mountains scouting.

Of the two, I definitely prefer the '53. It feels SOOO much better in my hands than the 55/56, and it feels much lighter too.

Phase 1 of my build. A detachable scope mount that is attached to a side plate that is affixed to the receiver. It takes 10 seconds to remove it if needed and it holds zero when I put it back. A tacticool gas tube cover that allows usage of iron sights. And it also has a trigger job done (major contributor to accuracy IMO). Now I'm waiting for a custom stock and will probably replace that huge scope with a POSP.. And it's pretty accurate.

Pics? And what kind of groups?

Normally it's around 1.5-2 MOA @ 100 meters.. sometimes as good as 1 MOA on a rare occasion. Of course, it's not a AR-kind of accuracy, but I don't expect it from an SKS anyways. Typically it looks like this:

My next purchase it going to be an SKS.

I really like the ATI stock but prefer the look of the magazine on the Tapco.

I’m also considering the SKS-KD but if I’m going to drop $700 id rather get the M305A.

Help me decide please!

Thanks in advance
