Tactical Semi-Auto Shotgun

Not if it is 6 rounds of 2.75" in a gun with a 3" chamber. The mag limit applies to the longest round the gun is chambered for. A 5 round 3" mag will hold 6 rounds of 2.75" and it is legal.

What no remington lovers?

Too bad there isn't a rental range for you to try out a couple models.

I've tried fabarm and loved it but the mossberg 930 kicked the snot out of me. There is something to say for overall fit of a shotgun that'll be shooting heavy loads.

oops. i read on another thread that Moreguns got hit by the RCMP and now appears to be "out of stock". the good news is, i found out Cedar Valley is selling the MP-A for $375, ...although they're out of stock until march. (i suppose i'll get accused of something for passing THIS info along too - and no, i'm not associated in any way with Cedar Valley.)

Hatsan should not be considered in the same solar system as Fabarm or Benelli.

I own a Benelli M4, but have owned other Fabarms (over/unders and 14") in the past, and wouldn't hesitate to jump on a SAT8 if it came around.

The benelli safety is reversable too... I'm a lefty, but actually just bought an oversized one and left it in the RH config... too many shotguns, and this would be the only one with LH setup, so for me it would get confusing in the field. :)

i own an M4 and Fabarm pump plus have shot the M2 and SAT8.

The M4 is the most accurate and softest recoiling shotgun i have ever tried. It is heavier than the M2 but the ARGO system has a much softer recoil than the spring system in the M2. i should mention that the 14" version of the M4 has a lot more recoil than the 18" version.

As for Fabarm...they are very light and have sharper recoil than the Benelli...i have also found them to be less accurate.

LOL!

Ok, so if I look at a 3.5" shotgun w 5 round tube, that would legally load 6 shells of 2.75"...?

Hmm...makes me wonder about the higher end Benellis and Berettas...pricey, not sure if extended tubes are even available for those "sporting" models...or whether 'ghost loading' can be done with some of those. I know that the Beretta 391 and Beneli Super Black Eagle are some REALLY nice shotguns, if pricey! (no I didn't check to see if they have 3.5" chambers yet)

QUOTE: "Hatsan should not be considered in the same solar system as Fabarm or Benelli."

umm, ...admittedly i'm no expert here, but reviews i've read by owners of the Hatsan MP-A indicate it is a great value in a tactical semi, cycles pretty much every type of load reliably, and for those on a budget it's a viable alternative to high dollar guns like the Benelli M4.
