Tactical Shotguns - what do you do with them?

Silvercore taught me a gun is unloaded if there is no ammunition or loaded magazine in it. A loaded mag in the same case as a pistol is still considered unloaded, a shotgun with a side saddle but no rounds in the shotgun is considered unloaded. This is how I was taught and this is how I transport

While I agree with that, I went with a velcro side saddle to avoid an issue with police. The side saddle is full, but not attached. When needed it goes on in a second or two.

On the left in my Cruiser 870, the right is my new personal 870. I took all the accessories of my own to make it as identical as the work gun.

The blued steel is a nice touch, and the weight of the wood stock feels good in the shoulder. Pump is nice and fluid. Patterns aren't very good though...

I have one for 4 reasons...

1) Carry at work.
2) Makes a nice short shotgun in the truck cab for grouse.
3) Plinking at the range.

4) Holding up my bedside table during the night (trigger locked, of course)

1) Tactically cycling an empty action in front of the TV/PC when I'm bored
2) Tactically shooting whatever random objects I feel like in a sand pit at the cottage
3) My girlfriend tactically obliterating the physical evidence of her brief and ill-conceived marriage with 00 buckshot

In short, stress relief for all :)

i like that carrying pack, got any more pics of it?

ive found lately that im playing with it more. ill sling it, walk with it, and draw it quick practicing my quick aim with a quick rack and on off light exercises while moving with the light off.

thats pretty sweet. how quickly can you access it with the way its attached?

Not quick enough... :) i would have to take the vest off (2 seconds), then unbind the shotty.. (about 10 seconds.. ) then its good to go... so it is more of a back up solution, better have something else in your hands.

where the hell are you located?
what's the law say about leaving a shotgun in a truck over night?

Where did he say that he leaves his shotgun in his truck overnight. He says he has it with him in his truck most days. I think I know why you are so misinformed about things. You read something and come up with stuff that is not there.
