Tactical Shotguns - what do you do with them?

Where did he say that he leaves his shotgun in his truck overnight. He says he has it with him in his truck most days. I think I know why you are so misinformed about things. You read something and come up with stuff that is not there.

wow that was an ignorant reply. and you should take your own advice chief. i didnt assume he was leaving it in his truck overnight. i asked what the law said about leaving a shotgun in a truck over night. i didnt assume he left his in there. learn to read, then get back to me.

You don't know what you're talking about and are way outside your lane - seriously, do some research before you basically accuse someone of criminal activity...

just saw your very positive response. Actually, if you research the Legalese thread, as well as CANLII (this has been brought up many times, and I am not going back through all that again just to satisfy you), you will see that there is very clear jurisprudence on this topic, going up to the Court of Appeals. I also did not tell him he WOULD be in trouble, but to look it up before doing something that MIGHT get him in trouble. I guess that IF he does listen to you, and ends up in trouble over it, you can just wash your hands of it. On the other hand, if he follows my advice, does some research and makes his OWN decision, anything that happens will be either thanks or due to him.

Not quick enough... :) i would have to take the vest off (2 seconds), then unbind the shotty.. (about 10 seconds.. ) then its good to go... so it is more of a back up solution, better have something else in your hands.

figured as much. it looks like it holds the shotty in there quite secure. whats a rig like that worth?

If i recall correctly, $180.. And it is worth every penny.. i can have a shotgun strapped and rifle slinged at the same time without significant discomfort.

Have we not already had this discussion off-line or am I off my meds??

Well, then you would take them to the range :)

I have already warned my 11-yr-old daughter that I would likely be doing the same thing (coincidently cleaning my firearms on the days she had dates)

just bought a remington 870 tactical and i plan on using it to hunt turkeys this spring and deer in the fall

In the truck anywhere I go.
NO TRIGGER LOCK
SIDE SADDLE LOADED
IN A SOFT SCABBARD

I practice at the range to get good at reloading it and doing it in the dark.

Some of the places I travel for work, and have to stay in... you would too.

If I get pulled over, all the windows go down, and it is the first thing i mention to the officer for his safety and my own.

Never had a problem yet.

Nothing. Got mine in a PKG deal with my Glock and it sits in the safe. I guess mine, like others, just waits. If you don't hunt and just want a shotgun to have one or more just incase scenario then a tactical shotgun makes sense because there cheap.
