Talk me out of a Benelli M4

The M4 with reflex sight like the Burris Fast Fire series is a great combo. If your lucky and the collapsable stock fits you it makes for a nice compact piece of 12 gauge kit.

Life is short. Ask yourself if any other shotgun will make you forget your interest in the M4. If you buy one and decide its not for you it is easily sold to recoup most of your money.

All M4s are 3".

It's supposed to be Picatinny but is dimensionally different enough to occasionally cause issues.

Anyway, if you want a folding stock on a semiauto shotgun, there aren't a lot of options. It was only recently with designs like the Benelli Vinci, Remington V3, Beretta 1301 and Hatsan MPA that don't have the recoil spring assembly in the stock, where it's a possibility, and the first three have nothing available as of yet.

Looking more and more like the Benelli M4 in that case.....

Its a nice gun but the M4 is more my bag I suspect.....

Yes, this is true.....

Just found an M4 (listed on CGN) and sealed the deal

Looking forward to getting it

Thanks to everyone who gave me a little of their experience

I have an M4 and love it. It is a fine combat shotgun. It is not a good competition gun and there are several reasons for that. Mine eats every type of ammo thrown at it and is a light shooting gun, even with slugs.

So heres the deal - Ive took a fancy to a semi auto shotgun and have been looking at my options

I already have a pump (Uzkon AS46-01) and as I like tactical styled stuff I been on the lookout for something suitable in a semi

Considered Uzkon TR100-13, Derya MK10, LA K12 Puma Bullpen etc etc but when I read the reviews some were mixed at best

Somewhere along the way I stumbled across the Benelli M4 and it looks pretty sweet as well as getting good reviews as far as I can see

Is this gun as good as they say? Are there any other I should be considering?

Thanks in advance

Get a rem versamax. Rem ripped off the m4. It is an m4
for $1,000 less. Comes with choke and etc, depending on the model.

Not even close.... Completely different mechanics.

But yeah... Benelli had the patent... It expired... Remington used a few of the keywords.

This article mentioned otherwise. It is even says "that there are several components that are interchangeable between the two"

Or take this article by Randy Wakeman: http://www.chuckhawks.com/shotgun_manure_two.htm

"The versa max is clearly based on the M4 action" paragraph 8.
