:redface:That's a fair shot. I can't apologize enough for the delay.

The problem has been the Italian government again -

We received these emails from the manufacturer the start of October.

The shipment is ready to leave from last week but in the meantime new European rules for deliveries to Countries outside EU came in on September 30th and we were forced to change the all procedure for applying for the transport permit so everything was blocked for the all week.
As usual our Ministry of Interior advised us only on Friday evening, September 27th and nobody knew what to do.
I really hope that we can start delivering once again this week and we have presented more than 10 transport permits using the new procedure but as it is today we don't know if they are OK or not. I will keep you advised.

Then we received this email last week:

We are waiting for the transport permit that should be issued in any day as we have presented it during last week but, as you may understand, there are a lot of transport permits waiting to be released after the stop of their release during the first week of September.

Late last week, we got a call from the freight forwarder in Montreal asking us how to get final delivery - they were suggesting trucking from Montreal as it's cheaper, but I told them to fly it - as we are really late with the order.

So the shipment is waiting to leave Italy, the flights are planned - all we're waiting on is final approval from the Italian government.

I'm very sorry about the delay, and of course - at this point, if someone wants a deposit back, we'll give it - but it really does look like we're very close to delivery.

As of now, yes, there are still more due in the shipment than presold.

The first shipment has arrived - but we only got enough to cover the backorders
We're working on filling all the backorders now.
There are a few dealers that have ordered some too that will get them.

Another shipment due is in December.
 
It's worth the wait, this is the best working .22 I have fired. It's accurate and runs like a top, I have had 1 stoppage out of the 1000+ rounds put through it and it was an ammo related issue. The rails are little wide but red dots will mount but they are a bit more to the left of the rifle. Thats the only thing I can find wrong with it.

you mean except the lack of higher capacity mags right
 
On the website there was no option to preorder more mags. Or the muzzle brake. will you be importing the muzzle brake? It makes it look cooler. Also are they planning to make a flat top model?
 
We're stocking appeal mags - so they will be on the website for order around the end of the week.
In the meantime, just add a comment and we'll make note on your order if you're backordering rifles.

At some point, we'll have steady stock of the guns and you can order both mags and the gun at the same time.

The Appeals come with the "Muzzel Brake" (It's all looks - it really doesn't do anything) - it can be removed.
We'll update the picture on the website - I don't know why that's the one that Tanfoglio supplies on their website.

This is a change of subject but only partially so. With the flow of these carbines starting, does this mean that other Tanfos like my Extreme Limited Custom are also in the pipe?

The Tanfoglio Appeals and the recent arrival of regular Stock IIs and IIIs and Limited Customs are from an order that was placed in May.
The Xtremes were ordered in September when they were announced with a delivery date of December from Tanfoglio, so - sorry, this doesn't really change the Xtreme delivery.

Dang! I can't even use mine until May anyway and yet I watch these threads like a kid before Christmas. Meanwhile I'm on the "buy accessory" hunt in order to stay sufficiently poor until the pistol arrives and I can play with it. I suppose I could grow up but why?
