I came across someone who had a Tapco mag with a hole in the plastic cap on the mag's floor plate...to allow it to be open for cleaning...
I agree it's a problem having a mag that can't be open in case some sand gets in there, but from what I understand, the modification done to the mag to limit it at 5 rounds is supposed to be permanent, and by that it does no only means: permanent at the time it was sold, but also it should not be altered at any time during the life of the mag.
Am I wrong ? I would be the first to be happy in that case
but having a pinned mag that can be switch to 20 rounds ( in the event one forget to put back the plastic thing ) and back to 5 at will, doesn't seem legal to me.
