Target ammo for 10/22????

Yes.

But the point is that accuracy is a function of the rifle, the ammo and the shooter.

The shooter (for each of us) is not a variable. The rifle has limits (especially things like a 10/22) and the ammo has limits. The rifle (and shooter) has to be good enough to tell good ammo from crap.

I'm not trying to be argumentative but I feel that between the rifle, if it is indeed a good rifle & shooting quality ammunition then the third component the shooter is the most prone to variables.

We all have good & bad days at the range, if I am shooting a proven rifle, ammunition combination & I am not shooting well I do not blame my equipment. I blame the nut behind the trigger (myself).

I have two highly modified 10/22s, I also shoot Anschutz & BSA Martini Internationals & have an idea what constitutes good .22 ammunition.

Ganderite, Down the years I have read many of your posts & respect your opinion, I hope I am not misunderstanding your statement.:)

I agree with Gan. Most people I know shoot off rests and not off hand. Yes this doesnt take the shooter out of the equation but it sure helps.
I think thats what he ment.
Im guessing youve tried goldenduds or 555 but have you tried it back to back with high end ammo?
I was shocked at the difference and was glad I tried as many brands as I could to see what my rifles liked.
