Guys I should be asking this in the ammo section, but figured I'd get better answers from this forum.

I'm looking for ammo that would meet My standards which could be used for gopher/small game, target style / Benchrest accuracy or ammo that would been used in the 1/2 inch at 50 challenge. I will be using this ammo from 25yrds up to about 125yrds. I have a few rifles I'm building and a few I bought that need to be tested for accuracy, most of these rimfires will be used for matches, So I'm looking for info and your reviews on these brands listed.

For you guys shooting ARA or USBR style stock/factory rifle class with ammo cost restrictions your info is needed as well.

These brands list I have never tried so this is partly why I'm asking as I have no access to this ammo in my area and will have to order it.

Eley Ammo what is the difference between the names & Remington Eley, I'm also not a fan of paying crazy $$ for rimfire ammo.
I understand you get what you pay for, SK standard Plus was my go to but hard to get were I'm located also what are your thoughts and results on these brands list below?

So again, If you have used these brands or tested them I'm looking for your opinions / thoughts on these as well, do some perform well at a cost saving as others?
I understand every gun & barrel is different and what works for one gun doesn't mean it will work for others. This is to help me & maybe others on CGN narrow down some choices for range testing.

info on this ammo what I'm interested in:

What you're asking has been discussed in numerous threads in the past. You want a not too expensive ammo that is going to do multiple jobs and shoot moa at 50 yards. You need to try a few and find which work well in your gun.

I understand that, most of these brands are within or just over what I'm will to spend on good target ammo. I also understand the every gun is different even if they are made on the same day, by the same guy from the same machine.

what I'm after is info on how these brands worked for others and how consistent they are.

I hate to say it, but what works for others is fully irrelevant for you and your rifle. Case in point- my buddy with a CZ 452 shoots SK std plus and does well with it. It shoots like a shotgun out of my CZ 455- same ammo is <.75" at 50 for him and 2" for me. My rifle likes eley club in the medium speed range- but I'm still shooting through the cases I bought years ago so I don't know about the modern stuff. What works for someone else really doesn't predict what will shoot for you. Try everything you can, make sure you put through enough seasoning rounds to see the true performance and hopefully you find something not too expensive that works well.

I have 3 match rifles to find a load & 2 hunting/gopher rifles I still want under MOA at 50+ yds. So I'm hoping I don't have to buy 5 different brands just to get there.

in part if some of these brands I listed can't perform to my level of standard I'd like to avoid buying bricks of it. I will most likely have to shoot about 50-100 rounds in each rifle just to see how it works.

My previous CZ (452 Varmint) liked the SK Rifle Match best, but would still get an occasional flier and did not complete the 50 yard challenge.
My current CZ (455 Thumbhole, Fluted) likes RWS Championship best, and easily completed the 50 yard challenge.
My Benchrest 10/22 (Dlask/Green Mountain) likes Remington Target Rifle best, but still gets the occasional flier and has not completed the challenge (although it has come very close). It does not like any of the other Eley, RWS or SK ammo that I have tried in it. I have not tried Aquila or Wolf.

Under 1 moa A 50 yds is easier said than done with the average rifle.Have you shot that in the contest. It usually takes at least an entry level ammo to attempt to get there. Most of the ammo is sub sonic and will have a big drop at 125 yds but is possible.Standard plus is easy to get in the prairies. What setup do you have in mind for the sage rats? Don't know what you call crazy money for ammo? It will be north of 12¢ per round and then some.

Every rifle has its preferences. ELEY tests the match grade ammo . . . TENEX, MATCH and TEAM. I have not read anything in respect to EDGE.
They grade the first three based on performance from their Anschutz rifles. Which grade is packaged for Remington is anybody's guess but the price tends to run between TENEX and MATCH.
Lapua CenterX is worthy a try. Ordering from HIRSCH or Target Shooting Products is advisable.
Similarly, is the Federal Ultra Match really made by RWS to R50 Standards.
What is your rifle/scope/rests setup? Depending on your rifle, you may find results improve with different torque settings on your action screws.

crazy price for me over $14 a box of 50. I understand you get what you pay for but if I could afford buying Lapua Center-X or RWS-R50, RWS Special Match or even Eley Match these are out of my price range.

yes I can & do have the skills to shoot MOA @ 50 I just don't have the time these days to get out & shoot which I want to change, I also told work I want to slow down which they said they would accommodate, but didn't this year.
Where are you getting Standard plus Ronnie? personally $70-80 a brick for good ammo is about as high as I willing to pay as I don't have deep pockets.

Oh I will start with the entry ammo as I have 14,000 rounds now to burn up. for sage rats would be hollow points of course but not CCI stingers, as I'm running a Benz chamber in my 10/22 my other guns are CZ 452/455

My rifles in question are.

CZ452 American, bedded stock, polish hammer & sear only, with Leupold VXII 6-18x40 AO target scope
CZ455 Varmint, YoDave trigger kit, DIP parts, Boyd's pro varmint stock with Leupold 6x42mm AO target scope.
Tactical Solutions Xring 10/22 factory rifle with Kidd trigger at 1.5lbs, Magpul X-22 stock, SWFA 20X Mils - Mrad scope

I'm in the process of ordering/tracking down a CZ 455 Varmint Precision Trainer Camo or Tacticool / Pro Varmint from the US. will have a Dip parts & YoDave trigger job, SWFA 16x Mils - Mrad scope.

Note; the TacSol Xring now has a Leupold FX3 6x42 AO target scope right now will switch to the SWFA when it gets here.

I look at it this way. I have a sizeable investment in quality 22lr target ammo, probably 2k worth. When I purchase a new rifle now I usually have something that will work well with my new fire arm.I currently have 4 bricks of center x,4 SK std plus, 2 rifle match, 1 of midas +,1 Federal UM 22, a few bricks of cci sv, Aguila sub sonic, SV. I also keep about 7k rounds of cci mini mags in different varieties. I usually use Aguila or cci SV for sight ins and cold bore flyers. I then usually warm up with SK std and then usually shoot center x when going for good groups. Prophet River is my go to source on lapua and SK ..Center x is about $12 @ box and SK std $6.I always by when on sale.

Try the Aguila if your worried about price, I was surprised I only tried 2 kinds but would try the bottom 2 on your list if I could find them for sure. Federal Target 711b is another cheap one to try that can be ok in some.
Eley club and rws club are a waste of time IMO - SK std way better for about same price.
The SK/RWS rifle match ones are a bit behind center-x.
I'm trying rws pistol target now and is close to rifle match.

Center x is about as much as I want to spend so haven't tried the pricer eleys, but it is pretty good and consistent in 3 of em here, it has almost put my stock 77/22 in the 50yd challenge.

I would run SK std plus and then center x to be fancy, anyone of those on your list could be great in your gun though. The last year or 2 being shooting more 22 for accuracy and having fun learning as I go.

Buy a box of every ammo you can find. One of my semis loves that automatch stuff best. My jw25 loves thunderbolts best. blazer almost liked as much by all my rimfires.

I've tried most of the RWS stuff and Lapua Centre X in 4 different rifles( a 40X, 2 annies and a savage) Centre X shot the best in all 4 of them consistently, not surprising as its the most expensive by far. Next was RWS rifle match, it shot best in 3 of the 4 rifles next to the Centre X and RWS pistol match shot better than RWS rifle match in one of the annies but not as good at the centre X.

If your testing and its calm I would suggest testing at 100yds rather than 50. Things really start to show up at the further distance. However if's its much more than a breeze not so much as it will turn into a crap shoot.
