I had a fellow offer me 85 flats of AA's for $130/flat. He wouldn't sell except as the entire lot and I wasn't in a position to lay out over $10,000 on ammo at the time having just bought a new trap gun and all the equipment from a club that closed up so I contacted a buddy and between the two of us we took them all. I took 27 flats, all the Super Handicaps, my buddy kept 20 all 1oz Lites and he sold the remainder, 2 3/4dr 1 1/8oz over the course of the season. Shortly before he ran out he called to see if I wanted a few more flats so I took another 13 before they were gone so I have 40 flats. That should keep me going for a couple registered seasons. I wished I'd been in a position to take them all!

I pretty much cleaned out Prophet River of their remaining Remington STS and Nitro target loads last spring. I ended up with 27 flats the STS at $125, and the Nitro at $130. I cleaned out their Kent Elite the year before at $80.I still have over 30 flats left, so I can stretch that to two years , but I will keep watching in the meantime. My biggest concern now, is that my 410 and 28 gauge hulls are getting down to a firing or two, and there isn't much available in factory AA target loads. I did pick up a flat of 410AA from Prophet River last month, but at $210, I will try to limit myself to a few flats per year, just to make up for the hulls that I retire.

I buy directly from a distributor and my reloading costs $9.20 for 1oz and $10.20 for 1-/18oz HC taxes in per box. That’s as cheap as I can get it that I’ve found. If you stumble upon somebody unloading for cheap then that’s a bonus.

Not target loads but I noticed they had some 3"-12ga steel hunting loads listed at two year old pricing so I dropped in this morning and sure enough they had some old stock of Kent Fasteel at $8-$12 less a box than anywhere else so I took it all along with a bunch of Federal Speed Shok and some Challengers at better prices than I've seen elsewhere. I'm stocked up for 2023 spring snows and the fall season as well.

The manager was telling me their contact at Kent Cartridge told them due to material shortages and high demands they will be dropping a number of lines of ammunition to put the materials into ammunition in higher demand. He said they didn't say exactly which lines but that the manufacture of 28ga and 410 would likely be discontinued or severely curtailed. He said they also told him to expect the same from other manufacturers as they are in the same boat.

I bought 4 cases back then and havent opened them yet. Got busy doing other things. The price of ammo has gone crazy. I bought a case (10 bricks = 5000rds) of centerX rimfire ammo a few years ago at 144 a brick with tax and now it's 251 a brick if you buy a case.
 
Cabelas just notified me, that my order of AA Sporting loads is ready for pickup. I bought 10 flats last Wednesday during the $3 off per box sale. If I have to pay almost $150/flat, at least it will be on quality ammunition.
 
i bought 4 bricks of .22 shells in February 2023 for $70.00/brick, in november of last year i bought a case of .22 shells, super X, @ $40.00/brick.
in 2018 i bought 4 bricks of .22 american eagle @ $25.00/brick. all where purchased at gun shows.
In 2019 i bought 4 bricks of yellow jackets for $90.00/brick, and in 2021 i bought 2 bricks of CIL canuck .22 shells and 1 CIL super clean .22's for $65.00/brick.
 
Mostly I buy ammo at Hummasons or Lawry's. I had a bugger of time recently finding 20 gauge target ammo. All of the local stores were sold out but I finally found what I needed at Lawry's. The price wasn't too bad all things considered.
